Dodi Palese – Brainscapes EP

Dodi Palese is back with a new 5 track EP which recounts his last unconventional trip. Using an NIS (Neurotransmission Impulse System) the Italian producer visited the recondite places of the universe hidden deep within his body, taking inspiration from the incredible landscapes and the vibrating and untouchable energy flows.

Following the experience, Dodi’s efforts to transform the vibes he came across into sounds with the help of his hardware and software devices led to a very personal interpretation of his own life.

‘Brainscapes’ could be considered a musical mapping of Palese’s soul, with the genes of melodic techno and deep house figuring abundantly.

Daniel Schröder – Change is Coming

Daniel Schröder (Fogmountain Soundsystems) released a new track earlier today. You can get it on bandcamp and name your price which is going to charity as he stated in the posting:

It’s a techno track about change and i spent some time producing but it’s free on purpose: if you want, you can spent money buying it or download it for free… every single amount of money will be transferred to SOS Children’s Villages ( www.sos-childrensvillages.org / www.sos-kinderdoerfer.de ) who for example support syrian children who had to deal with five years of war and kids from Nepalese families rebuild their lives and livelihoods.

To make things clear, there’s some percent that go to bandcamp for hosting this song and to paypal for managing the transactions. But everything that will be transferred to my account will be 100% forwarded to the SOS Children’s Villages – i don’t want any money out of it

One Track Brain – Kitten Play / Dust Devil

One Track Brain is back with his third EP “Kitten Play/Dust Devil” on the OTB records imprint. Jazz drums and the trustworthy 808 kikdrum are at the heart of this energetic and playful new 12″. On the A-side, “Kitten Play”, a whirlwind of rhythms evokes an untampered lust for life. A spontaneous structure keeps the kittens in check. On the B-side, we find “Dust Devil”, another energy pill based primarily around rhythm. A sweet little melody is juxtaposed against a thick layer of bustling drums. A stormy track with a mermaid’s melody calling out from afar. One Track Brain, clearly not a rookie, remains a shadowy quantity with the focus wholly on his music. Kitten Play/Dust Devil comes out worldwide on limited hand stamped vinyl.

Petrichor – Mångata

And here it is. The album I’ve basically been waiting for since Soma hooked me up with the promo of Petrichor’s first EP called “On Tides” in early 2013. Since I closed my Facebook account around half a year ago I nearly missed the release last friday, but I’m glad there are other communication channels.

I always have problems categorizing music. I can’t even do it for my own so how am I supposed to judge other people’s work? I strongly recommend you to take some time, listen to it and decide for yourself – or just not categorise at all, what’s the point anyway?

Whatever you call it, since you’re on my website I’m pretty sure you’re gonna like it. You know when you have to high expectations after a strong first and second ep and get dissapointed in the end? I was kind of sure that this couldn’t happen in this case – and I’m happy I was right. As I am writing this I am listening to it for the second time in a row and I still don’t know what to say. Is it the organic, melancholic, crisp sound? I don’t know. It is touching me on various levels, at parts it even gives me goosebumps. My biggest respect to Simon Stokes! Albums like that are the reason why I love music. If I had a category “album of the month” this would be it – and the ones to come.

@Soma: For some reason I didn’t get this one as promo but I’m glad I bought it. In case you should be in charge of Simon’s Bookings I hope that there’s gonna be a gig over here in Germany?!

David Meiser’s Argentina Tour Experience

I’ve been following and liking David Meiser’s Releases for a while now. Besides as a producer it seems like his DJ career is also going upwards. He seems a nice down to earth guy to me, go David!

From 9th to 14th April 2015 he made his first tour in America with dates in Buenos Aires and Córdoda (Argentina). The idea of this 7-minute documentary is to share the thoughts and feelings of an artist who just started touring internationally. Besides his music to me that

Carlos Gascón and his camera accompanied Meiser in this trip, recording all the key moments, and immortalizing the great connexion of the artist with the Argentinian public. Available to download the set played at Under Buenos Aires + Tracklist on David’s Soundcloud.
