Electric Rescue – Back Home

Electric RescueElectric Rescue from France combines experience, avant-gardism and guaranteed success on dance floors. Besides his upcoming debut “Back Home” on Soma next month he has already released on quality imprints like Cocoon, Bedrock, Traum, and Sci + Tec just to name a few.

The “Back Home” EP is scheduled to be released on May 6th on Soma. Great A&R job again after signing Petrichor which finally got released on Monday. My favourite is the darker “No Garranty” while the title track is driven by a detuned synth.

Petrichor – On Tides

Petrichor

Simon Stokes brings us 3 Tracks under his new Petrichor alias on Soma. The music is typified not only by the warm, evolving sound that is dominated by melodies and field recordings as much as it is by rhythms, but also by the retrospective methods by which they were recorded. Moving back to his hardware roots for this project, Stokes utilises his arsenal of analogue and digital synthesisers, drum machines, tape echoes and effects to create a sound that is not only warm and innovative, but also familiar and classic.

Project AKC – Dishwasher / Watermelon

Project AKC is the latest addition to the Soma roster. A new artist to the scene makes his debut on Soma Records. Dishwaher / Watermelon is the first of 2 a EP set to drop on the legendary Scottish Label in March. The tracks already got support by big names like Richie Hawtin as you can see here.

Rich Jones – The Archaic Revival

Rich Jones - The Archaic Revival

After the successful ‘Depth Charge’ EP released in 2011 Rich Jones returns to Soma. This time he hit us with a more refined, darker sound with 4 tracks of pure Techno lined with pulsating drums and deep synth work.

It features the 4 tracks “Solstice”, “Demonic Intervention”, “Biotope” & the title track “Archaic Revival”.

Kyle Geiger – Restore

Kyle Geiger releases another top quality EP on Soma. January sees the American native bring out the Restore EP featuring a collaboration with Bobby Dowell, which makes an explosive start to the New Year’s releases. There’s no public preview up to now but I can tell you the tracks are sounding nice ;-)
